Susan has been a member of the EBS Builders Advisory Board since 2024 and advises the company on strategy, recruiting, training and employee retention and other best practices. Susan has also served in an advisory capacity for several non-profit organizations.

Susan is recently retired following 38 years of service to the Smithers organization, a multinational provider of testing, consulting, inspection and compliance services.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Susan provided strategic and operational leadership to two of the Smithers Divisions - Environmental Risk Sciences and Pharmaceutical Development Services, together which accounted for over $50M of annual turnover. Susan was recognized for business acumen, sound fiscal judgment, managing risk and collaborative strategic partnerships, resulting in enhanced profitability, reduced costs, and optimized shareholder value.

In her free time, Susan enjoys gardening, culinary pursuits, boating on Buzzards Bay and spending time with her family, most especially three grandchildren.
